Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Exports Up 9%

More than $33.45 million worth of commodities were exported from Iran’s southwestern Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province during the four months to July 22, indicating a 9% rise compared to last year’s corresponding period.

According to Director General of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Customs Administration Esmaeil Allah-Dadi, the exports included home appliances, almond, dairy products, tile, ceramic, metal products, yarn, cast iron and steel, with export destinations being Iraq, India, Afghanistan, the UAE, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, Georgia, the US and Turkey.

Saeed Naim-Emami, the head of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Industries, Mining and Trade Organization, said the exports are projected to reach $110 million by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2018(, IRNA reported.

Meanwhile, 40 million worth of intermediate goods were imported into the province during the same period, registering a 34% rise year-on-year.

Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province is home to 1,127 production and industrial units.
