Iran has 776,000 kilometers of air routes for passengers and freight services, according to an industry official. A few months ago, the figure was 57,000 kilometers, Mohammad Ali Ilkhani, managing director of Iran Airports Company, said in a meeting in Tehran’s Amir Kabir University of Technology, as reported by IRNA on Monday.  During the past 24 hours, Iran’s airspace was host to 1,538 overflights, of which 970 were international flights from 70 different countries, he noted.
