The first catamaran watercraft made in Iran will be delivered to Turkey within the next three months, CEO of Arvandan Ship Construction Company Hossein Qorbani said.
“This watercraft has been constructed on par with the latest standards of the French company Bureau Veritas. It cost us around $7.2 million to build and has been sold to the Turkish party for $10 million,” he was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
Qorbani added that the construction of the catamaran, which has the capacity to carry 238 passengers and 10 vehicles, created 150 direct and 500 indirect jobs.
