About $270.75 million worth of goods were exported from Iran to Iraq through Mehran Border Terminal located in Ilam Province during the three months to June 21.

“Some $158.43 million of the total figure pertain to exports from Ilam Province while the rest belonged to other provinces,” Jamil Shohani, the deputy head of Ilam Industries, Mining and Trade Organization, was quoted as saying by IRNA.

Export commodities mainly included cement, agro products, steel products, plastic products, cars, car parts and petrochemicals.

On average, 1,000 trucks carry goods to Iraq from Mehran Border Terminal daily.
