Rise in Industrial Parks’ Job Creation

Jobs created in Iran’s industrial parks during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-May 21) have increased by 20% compared with last year’s corresponding period, Deputy Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Ali Yazdani said.
“We intend to generate about 130,000 direct jobs in Iran’s industrial parks by the yearend,” IRNA quoted Yazdani as saying.
The official, who is also the director general of Iran’s Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization, noted that 1,000 units operating in industrial parks across the country exported $1.7 billion worth of goods over the 11 months to February 18. Yazdani was earlier quoted as saying that close to 46% of Iranian industrial units are located in industrial parks, providing jobs for 791,000 people.
