BV Resumes Engagement With Iran

Managing director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, Mohammad Saeedi, attended the Combined Annual General Meeting of Bureau Veritas in Paris on Thursday at the invitation of the French company. Saeedi’s participation in the meeting marks the resumption of IRISL’s cooperation with the international certification agency that stopped its engagement with Iran in June 2012 after world powers imposed nuclear sanctions, Maritime News Agency reported. Ships cannot dock at international ports without safety and environmental standards verification by global leading providers of compliance, certification and laboratory testing services in the areas of quality, health and social responsibility.
