Close to 250 tons of watermelon were exported to Qatar from Genaveh Port in the southern Bushehr Province, the director general of Genaveh Customs Office said.
“The shipment which left the port on Saturday was worth nearly $57,000,” Mansour Baziar was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
Iran has been sending food supplies to Qatar ever since Saudi Arabia and its regional allies blockaded the Arab country over Doha’s alleged support of terrorism, an accusation it denies.
