Mohammadian Varamin Polyethylene Industries Plant was inaugurated by Industry Minister Mohammadreza Nematzadeh in south Tehran on Thursday, SHATA reported.

Built at a cost of 300 billion rials ($7.89 million) by Mohammadian Oil & Gas Development & Engineering Co., the plant is the Middle East and Iran’s first producer of 1-3 meter thick reinforced polyethylene pipes. It is located in Varamin County’s Salarieh Industrial Park.

The plant’s output capacity is 750 kilograms of pipes per hour and its main products include steel spiral reinforced pipes, single-walled and double-walled pressure corrugated pipes.

According to Nematzadeh, the pipes will be used to supply water from treatment plants to farmlands in Varamin. Thickness and stainless quality make the pipes more durable and efficient compared to regular pipes.
