11 Development Projects Underway in Southern Port

Eleven development projects worth 6,180 billion rials ($167.02 million) will come on stream in the southern Shahid Rajaee Port by the end of the current fiscal year (March 2018), the director general of Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Organization announced. “These projects will create close to 800 jobs there and include the construction of two desalination plants, 4 petroleum products storage terminals, two container logistics terminals, a standard terminal to store dangerous goods, a truck terminal and a motor pool repair shop,” IRNA also quoted Allahmorad Afifipour as saying.  Located at the mouth of the Strait of Hormuz in the southern Hormozgan Province, Shahid Rajaee is Iran’s biggest container port.
