Packaging Paper Production Up 21%

Production of packaging papers (liner and floating papers) grew by 21% in the last Iranian year (March 2016-17) as their imports saw a 40% decline compared with the year before, Parvin Nabati, an official with the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade, said. The official added that plans are underway to improve packaging paper production capacities by an additional 300,000 tons until the end of the current Iranian year (March 2018) by drawing on the latest technological advancements, IRNA reported.
