Belarus and Iran have agreed on exchanging customs statistics on mutual trade, state-owned national news agency of the Republic of Belarus. A meeting between Chairman of Belarus’ State Customs Committee Yuri Senko and Masoud Karbasian, the head of the Iranian customs administration, was held in Tehran, BelTA reported. “The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation in the exchange of customs statistics on mutual trade, establishing the order and forms of interaction in such exchanges,” the committee said in a statement. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between the customs authorities of the two countries, including further joint steps to develop logistics services and the implementation of provisions of the agreement on mutual administrative assistance and cooperation in customs affairs of 10 September 2004. The parties agreed on further development of the legal framework of relations between Belarus and Iran in customs affairs.
