India’s Finance Ministry has imposed anti-dumping duty on clear float glass imports from Iran, Indian business newspaper The Hindu Business Line reported on its website on Monday.

Clear float glass, which is a glass of superior quality, is used in the construction, refrigeration, mirror and solar energy industries.

Saint Gobain India Pvt. Ltd., Gold Plus Glass Industry Ltd., and HNG Float Glass Ltd. had filed a petition seeking anti-dumping duty on clear float glass imports from Iran. The anti-dumping duty, imposed by the Indian Revenue Department, will be valid for five years. It will range from zero to $55.59 per ton, depending on the producer and exporter, according to the report.
