Customs Income to Grow

In the budget proposed by the government, the customs revenues are predicted to reach 130 trillion rials ($4.8 billion at official exchange rate) within the next fiscal year, which will start March 21, 2015. The figure indicates a 30 percent increase compared to the current year, Mehdi Karbasian, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration told in a news conference on Sunday. Customs revenues amount to 86 trillion rials ($3.1 billion) in the current year’s budget, the official said.
