Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index gained 158 points or 0.2% during the week that ended May 10 to close at 80,127.

IFX, the over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse’s benchmark, lost 13 points or 1.4% during the week to 924.

Trading at the two exchanges begins on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.

Over 10.5 billion shares valued at $937.18 million were traded on TSE last week. The number of traded shares and trade value grew by 83% and 198% compared to the previous week.

TSE’s First Market Index added 320 points or 0.6% to end at 55,725.

The Second Market Index lost 849 points or 0.5% to close at 176,904.

At IFB, more than 1.5 billion securities valued at $195.65 million were traded. The number of traded shares and weekly trade value dropped by 52% and 40% compared to the previous week.

IFB’s market cap gave up $526.47 million or 1.8% to reach $28.87 billion.

Its First Market witnessed the trading of 178 million securities valued at $9.23 million, indicating a 14% growth and 2% downturn in the number of traded securities and trade value respectively.

About 963 million securities valued at $55.31 million were traded in the Second Market, with the number of traded securities and trade value dropping by 33% and 13% week-on-week.
