Yazdan Seif, former managing director of Agricultural Support Services Company, was appointed on Tuesday as the new head of Government Trading Corporation to replace deputy agriculture minister, Ali Qanbari. GTC is a state-owned company specialized in the purchase, import and distribution of essential food and handles the government’s guaranteed purchase of strategic crops such as wheat.
Qanbari was at the helm of the company for three years, IRNA reported.
