Rahmatollah Mahabadi has been reappointed as the head of the state-owned Iran Airports Company, which manages and oversees 54 airports across the country. A governing body comprising Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyebnia, the head of Planning and Budget Organization, Mohammad Baqer Nobakht, and Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, is tasked with electing the IAC board members biennially. Holding a master’s degree in management, Mahabadi replaced Mohammad Ilkhani on March 16, 2015.
