About 617 tons of ice-cream sticks worth $993,000 were imported into Iran in the last fiscal year to March 2017, registering a 66.5% and 77.5% decline in weight and value respectively compared to the fiscal March 2014-15. Although Iran is self-sufficient in the production of ice-cream, it still relies on imports when it comes to machinery and raw materials, IRNA reported.
