Teachers’ Salaries Up 85% in 4 Yrs.

The average salary of teachers has seen an 85% rise since the fiscal March 2013-14–the year Hassan Rouhani took office as Iran’s president, an official with the Ministry of Education said. Esfandiyar Chaharband also put the total number of employees with the ministry at 928,000, out of which 575,000 are teachers. According to Chaharband, the retirement of 640,000 employees by March 2025-26 is the ministry’s main concern, ISNA reported.
