The export of forest and rangeland soil is prohibited, but the soil obtained through industrial processing could be exported upon securing a permit from the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade, Masoud Mansour, an official with Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization, said. He mentioned the example of industrial soil extracted from a mine on Hormoz Island, Hormozgan Province, and said any other soil exported from the southern Iranian island is against the law, Mehr News Agency reported.
