About 23% of all foreign direct investments since Hassan Rouhani became president in August 2013 have been made in small- and medium-sized enterprises located in Iranian industrial parks and zones, Deputy Industries, Mining and Trade Minister Ali Yazdani said. “Investments worth $1.84 billion have been made in 49 projects in Iranian SMEs over the period, creating jobs for close to 5,640 jobs,” Yazdani was quoted as saying by IRNA.
