Over 3,400 Production Units Shut Down

Some 8,090 production units were set up in Iran’s industrial parks and zones since Hassan Rouhani took office in August 2013. Over the same period, about 3,470 units closed down, meaning twice as many units that were founded have been closed down, Deputy Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Ali Yazdani has been quoted as saying by the Persian daily Etemad. Yazdani is also the head of Iran’s Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization.
