Iran, Finland Sign Customs Deal

Iran and Finland have agreed to cooperate in customs control, protection, goods classification and valuation, in addition to countering narcotics and psychedelic drugs as per documents signed by the two countries’ customs chiefs. This is the first such agreement Iran has signed with a member of the European Union following the nuclear deal formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, IRNA reported. Director General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration Masoud Karbasian and his Finnish counterpart, Antti Hartikainen, also discussed the challenges and opportunities of cross-border trade as well as ways of improving bilateral commercial ties in their Tuesday meeting in Helsinki.
