Mazandaran Agro Exports Exceed $310m

Around 189,400 tons of agricultural and dairy products worth $312.7 million were exported from the northern province of Mazandaran in the last Iranian year (March 2016-17), registering a 4.9% and 6.6% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with the previous year, the head of Mazandaran Agricultural Jihad Organization said.
“Dairy products, our main exported product over the period, accounted for more than $244.8 million of the total sum,” Delavar Heydarpour was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
Other exports, according to the official, included chicken, red meat, fresh and dried fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants.
“Our main export destinations were Iraq, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, the UAE, Kuwait, Russia, Germany and Kazakhstan,” he said.
