More than 169,000 tons of agricultural products have been exported from the western Iranian province of Kurdistan in the first eight months of the current year (which started March 21), Karim Zolfaqari, head of Kurdistan Agricultural Jihad Organization, said in a workshop held there on promotion of provincial exports on Thursday. According to IRNA, the figure shows a 13.2 percent growth compared to the same period last year. The province last year exported a total of 203,000 tons of agricultural products and 161,000 tons of flowers and saplings worth more than $121 million.
