Following rumors circulating on social media about Darugar Holding Company going off stream, the head of Tehran Industries, Mining and Trade Organization has dismissed the rumors as false.

The Tehran-based Darugar Holding Company, aka KAF Joint Stock Company, was established some 90 years ago. The company specializes in the production of soap, shampoo, detergent and cleaning products, IRNA reported.

“Darugar is a top, creditable brand. It is considered one of the best active production units in the country, which registered a growth in production last year (March 2016-17),” Mohammad Reza Mesforoush was also quoted as saying, adding that the company is not having layoffs.

According to the official, the company is up and running, and has been implementing its annual repair and renovation plans since the Iranian New Year holidays (started March 21).

Darugar has published a statement on the homepage of its official website (Lafsa.com) regarding the issue and denied the rumors.

Describing the importance of making annual renovation considering the company’s large-scale production, Bijan Esmaili, the CEO of Darugar Holding Co., said the company will soon resume production with full capacity.
