Economic ties between Iran and Singapore have ample capacity to expand, given Iran’s access to the 300-million market of Singapore and its neighboring countries.
Iranian Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei made the statement in a meeting on Wednesday with Singapore’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamad Maliki bin Osman.
“The two countries can cooperate in the fields of port construction, refineries, petrochemicals and banking among others,” Rabiei was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
Maliki said Singapore also has access to a 600-million market in Iran and its neighboring countries, which makes bilateral economic ties with the Islamic Republic beneficial for both sides.
