The Iranian National Tax Administration collected 13 trillion rials ($342.1 million) from new taxpayers in the last Iranian year (March 2016-17), according to INTA’s chief, Seyyed Kamel Taqavinejad. “About 300,000 new taxpayers were identified across the country over the past year and the government’s program to counter tax evasion, known as the Comprehensive Tax Plan, was pursued diligently,” Taqavinejad was quoted as saying by IRNA.
