Close to 5.6 million tons of goods worth about $1.8 billion were exported from Kermanshah in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2017), according to the director general of the western Iranian province’s Customs Office.

“Fresh/frozen tomato, tomato paste, plastic products, melamine dishes and sheep were the major exported commodities,” IRNA also quoted Khalil Heidari as saying on Wednesday.

“The goods were exported to 38 countries, among which Iraq was the main destination,” he added. With 371 kilometers of borders with Iraq, Kermanshah Province accounts for close to half of Iran’s non-oil exports to the western neighbor.
