Cooperation with Iran in investment and industrial projects holds great prospects.

This was announced by chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Mikhail Myasnikovich, in his meeting with Iran’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Belarus Mostafa Oveisi, Belarusian Telegraph Agency reported.

Myasnikovich said the Belarusian side is set to implement projects within the framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

“With regard to bilateral cooperation, we are certainly interested in investment projects and industrial cooperation. Here we can implement many interesting ideas and approaches so that these projects benefit not only bilateral contacts but also our cooperation with companies of third countries,” he said.

The speaker noted that he was satisfied with the results of the recent official visit of the Belarusian parliamentary delegation to Iran.  “All themes, issues and projects, which were the subject of discussion during the meetings with the president of Iran, the minister for foreign affairs and other officials receive support and will surely be implemented by the Belarusian side in accordance with the agreements,” he said.  Myasnikovich noted that he was impressed with the constructive suggestions and ideas from the Iranian side on the possible participation of Belarus in transnational transport corridors.  “There is a political will of the authorities of our states to strengthen cooperation and expand it.
