Non-oil exports from Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province in southwest Iran exceeded $96.7 million during the 11 months to February 18, registering a 24% increase compared with the corresponding period of last year, the head of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Industries, Mines and Trade Organization said. “We export goods to 18 countries, namely the Netherlands, Brazil, Romania, Tajikistan, Poland, Georgia, the US, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Pakistan, India, Kuwait, Turkmenistan, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Iraq and Afghanistan,” Naeem Emami was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
Emami noted that the main exported commodities during the period were household appliances, air conditioners, water heaters, refrigerators, plastic products, almond, cream, cheese, milk, trout, animal feed, washing machines, wire, tiles and ceramics, kitchenware, tractors, chocolate, medicinal herbs, pipes and vegetable oil.
“Imports to the province in the 11-month period stood at over $60.5 million, indicating a 43% rise year-on-year,” he said.
