The goods and services Consumer Price Index for rural areas in the 12-month period ending February 18, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Bahman, reached 7.1% compared with last year’s corresponding figure, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.

The center had reported the same rural inflation for the preceding Iranian month.

The overall rural CPI (using Iranian year to March 2012) stood at 249.9 in Bahman, indicating a 0.4% increase compared with the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 7.6% compared with last year’s similar month.

Urban inflation for the month was earlier put at 6.8% by SCI.
