Industrial Parks Create 119,000 Jobs Since 2013

Close to 119,000 jobs were created in Iran’s industrial parks since President Hassan Rouhani took office in August 2013, the head of the public relations of Iran’s Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization said.

“Before Rouhani became president, there were 922 industrial parks across the country. The figure rose to 958 under the Rouhani administration,” Gholamreza Divsalar was quoted as saying by IRNA.

“About $1.7 billion worth of goods were exported from production units located in Iranian industrial parks during the 11 months to February 18,” Deputy Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Ali Yazdani said.

“Industrial parks in Iran have provided jobs for about 791,000 people,” added Yazdani, who is also the head of ISIPO.
