Exports From Industrial Parks: $1.7b in 11 Months

Some 1,000 industrial units operating in industrial parks across the country exported $1.7 billion worth of goods over the 11 months to February 18, the head of Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization said. “Close to 46% of Iranian industrial units are located in industrial parks, which have created about 791,000 jobs,” Ali Yazdani was also quoted as saying by IRNA. Earlier this year, Tehran and Ankara signed a memorandum of understanding based on which Turkey agreed to establish an industrial park with 140 production units in Iran.
