Iran's Tax Incentives to Promote Exports

The government of President Hassan Rouhani has provided wide-ranging tax incentives to promote manufacturing, investment and non-oil exports, the head of the Iranian National Tax Administration said. “Exports of services, non-oil goods and agricultural products, along with manufacturing and mining activities of non-governmental legal entities, are entitled to a 100% tax exemption,” IRNA quoted Kamel Taqavi-Nejad as saying. Hospitals, hotels and tourist accommodations can enjoy a five-year tax break and investments in economically underdeveloped areas qualify for tax exemptions for 10 years, he added.
