Iranian Expo Opens in Baghdad

Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh arrived in the Iraqi capital on Monday to open the third exclusive exhibition of Iran in Baghdad International Fairground. Representatives from more than 140 Iranian companies are showcasing their products in a wide range of areas, including food, household appliances, construction materials, auto and auto parts manufacturing, cosmetics, detergent, hospital equipment and dairy, in the four-day event. During his one-day visit, Nematzadeh met with Iraqi labor and social affairs minister and caretaker of industry and minerals ministry, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. The two sides agreed that Iran will construct industrial parks in Iraq. Earlier in the day, the Iranian minister met with the neighboring country’s works and planning minister and caretaker of the trade ministry, Salman Jumaili.
