More than 23,000 tons of eggs were exported in the seven months to October 21, 2016, which were halted after the outbreak of bird flu on November 2, the head of the Union of Producers of Egg-Laying Hens said.

“Last year, between 93,000 and 94,000 tons of eggs were exported. This year, however, it is estimated that exports will decline to a third compared with last year,” Nasser Nabipour was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
