A 20-member Iranian delegation comprising representatives of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture attended a joint business forum with their Danish counterparts in Copenhagen on Thursday.

The two sides surveyed possibilities of bilateral cooperation in a range of fields, including food and dairy industries as well as pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, IRNA reported.

TCCIMA President Masoud Khansari, who headed the delegation, said Iran would pave the way for Danish economic players to invest in Iranian projects.

“We are willing to cooperate with Danish investors in brand building for Iranian products,” Khansari was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.

Iran imported $222.5 million worth of goods from Denmark over the 10 months to October 30, 2016, and exported some $10 million worth of commodities in return.

Before their visit to Denmark, the Iranian delegation had a three-day stay in Prague.

On Monday, Khansari and Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mladek explored opportunities for expanding bilateral collaboration in the fields of energy and industrial machinery manufacturing as well as making joint investments in other countries.

Later in the day, representatives from 100 Czech companies held B2B meetings with their Iranian counterparts, surveying possibilities of cooperation in the fields of industry, mining, energy, tourism, banking, investment, agriculture, foodstuff, health and ICT.

Trade between Iran and the Czech Republic over the 11 months to November 2016 stood at more than $59.1 million, indicating a 25% increase compared with the similar period of the previous year.
