A 30-member delegation from Iran, headed by Chairman of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Masoud Khansari, attended a joint business forum in Prague, Czech Republic, on Monday.

Present in the meeting was Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mladek who said the two sides can cooperate in a range of fields, including energy and industrial machinery manufacturing as well as making joint investments in other countries, TCCIMA news portal reported.

Khansari said Iran can benefit from Czech Republic’s high technical knowhow to complete projects that demand advanced technology.

“The two countries can cooperate in the fields of transportation, water resource management, new energies, food industry, pharmaceuticals and industrial machinery,” he said.

Later in the day, representatives from 100 Czech companies held B2B meetings with their Iranian counterparts and surveyed possibilities of collaboration in the fields of industries, mining, energy, tourism, banking, investment, agriculture, health and ICT.

Tehran-Prague bilateral trade amounted to more than $59.1 million over the 11 months to November 2016, indicating a 25% increase compared with the similar period of the previous year.

After a three-day visit to Prague, the Iranian delegation is scheduled to set off to Copenhagen, Denmark, for expansion of bilateral ties with their Danish counterparts.
