Iran’s agriculture sector generates an average value added of 250% from raw products, said the managing director of the Central Organization of Rural Cooperatives of Iran.
Noting that many other countries generate 1,300% of value added in their agriculture sectors, Hossein Safaei also called for careful planning to enhance the value added throughout the entire production chain, starting from the farm and ending on the dinner table, IRNA reported.
