Rise in Kerman Exports

More than $900 million worth of goods were exported from Kerman Province during the nine months to December 20, registering a 13% increase compared with last year’s corresponding period, according to Kerman Industries, Mining and Trade Organization. Pistachio worth $575 million and masterbatch valued at $222 million were the main exported commodities. Other exports included copper products, electrical equipment and tiles, IRNA reported. Imports into the province during the same period stood at $602 million, showing a 3% decline year-on-year. Kerman is Iran’s main pistachio production hub, accounting for more than 70% of all pistachios grown in the country.
