Tehran is hosting an exhibition of domestically-made furniture.
The expo, which opened in the capital city’s Mosalla on Tuesday, will run through January 31, ILNA reported. Representatives of more than 120 companies and production units from across the country are showcasing their latest products in the fields of home and office furniture, interior decorations, amphitheaters and libraries in the event.
“Some $17 million worth of furniture were exported from Iran during the nine-month period ending December 20,” said Hassan Ahmadian, the head of Iran Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters Union.
“Furniture exports have declined due to instability in the neighboring Iraq, since the country has long been one of the top export destinations for Iranian furniture.”
