Baku is hosting a joint business forum between Iranian and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs on Dec. 27.
Citing Azerbaijan Export and Investments Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), Trend news agency reported that entrepreneurs from a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, food and light industries, pharmaceuticals, transportation, logistics, tourism, ICT, construction, production of building materials and auto spare parts are scheduled to attend the forum.
Iranian companies have invested $2.6 billion in Azerbaijan. As much as $145 million of the amount have gone to the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan.
Some 450 joint ventures with Iranian partners are active in Azerbaijan.
Trade between Azerbaijan and Iran amounted to $175 million during January-November 2016, $130.13 million of which accounted for Azerbaijan’s import from Iran, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
AZPROMO has announced that Azerbaijani entrepreneurs are scheduled to visit the Iranian cities of Tabriz and Ardebil on January 14-17, Vestnik Kavkaza reported.
