The first Iranian exhibition specialized in foodstuff, agricultural products, livestock and poultry opened in Herat on Tuesday, IRNA reported. More than 45 Iranian firms from the provinces of Khorasan Razavi, Golestan, Gilan, Mazandaran, Qazvin and East Azerbaijan as well as Afghan firms have participated in the four-day event.
Iran’s General Consul in Herat Mahmoud Afkhami, Khorasan Razavi Deputy Governor Reza Jamshidi, and Herat’s Governor Fazlollah Vahidi attended the opening ceremony. The exhibition coincides with the first joint commission in Herat which seeks to expand bilateral ties between Khorasan Razavi and the Afghan city.
