Exporters to Pay VAT Monthly

Exporters will have one month to pay the value added tax from their sales, the head of Iranian Exporters Confederation, Mohammad Lahouti, said on Saturday. The directive was issued in a meeting attended by Economy Minister Ali Tayyebnia, Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and representatives of Planning and Budget Organization and Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. The National Tax Administration notified the directive on Dec. 21. Tax authorities hope its implementation will reduce the time for receiving VAT payments.
