Deputy head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Pedram Soltani, has been elected to serve as a member of the General Council of the World Chambers Federation, which unites a global network of 12,000 chambers of commerce and helps individual chambers become more productive and strengthens their links.

This is the second time a representative of Iran has been elected to the General Council, IRNA reported.  In 2011, Mohammad Nahavandian, who is currently the chief of staff of the president of Iran, won votes required to gain the seat. Soltani will serve a three-year term beginning in 2017.

A non-political, non-governmental body, WCF is the backbone of the chamber community, uniting the global network of chambers and their business communities.

WCF offers a wide range of products and services to help chambers deliver the best possible service to their respective members.
