More than $5.86 billion worth of non-oil goods were exported from Tehran Province during the eight months to November 20, registering a 5.5% increase compared with the corresponding period of last year, according to an official with the province’s Industries, Mines and Trade Organization. “The figure accounts for about 20% of a total of close to $28.12 billion worth of non-oil goods Iran exported over the eight-month period,” Khalil Partozadeh was quoted as saying by IRNA.  Industrial, petrochemical and agricultural products, minerals, carpets and handicrafts were among the main exports which headed largely to Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, the UAE, Germany, Italy and Turkmenistan. Over 17,000 small and large industrial units are active in Tehran Province.
