Afghan and Iranian businessmen signed deals worth $2 million during the Second Afghanistan-Iran Economic Exhibition held in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan, last week. Over 10,000 people visited the exhibition held during December 6-9 and 32 Iranian and eight Afghan firms participated in the event.
On the sidelines of the expo in a joint meeting, Afghan businessmen expressed interest in importing a wide range of Iranian products.
The current volume of trade between Iran and Afghanistan is $2.6 billion, Afghan news agency Wadsam reported.
