Red Meat, Poultry Self-Sufficiency Near

The domestic production of chicken and red meat is sufficient to meet about 90% of Iranian needs, says the managing director of Poultry Producers Union. “Local producers have the potential to export to other countries,” Mohammad Ali Kamali was also quoted by IRNA as saying. He made the statements at the opening ceremony of the Fourth Exhibition of Livestock and Poultry in Amol, Mazandaran Province, on Tuesday. Twenty-five domestic companies are taking part in the four-day event.
