New Zealand’s Minister of Trade Todd McClay, heading a delegation comprising representatives from 17 private sector companies, is scheduled to visit Tehran next week to meet with high-ranking Iranian officials and explore avenues for boosting cooperation between the two countries.
Tehran-Wellington trade stood at $90 million in 2015, which amounted to $200 million in 2016, IRNA reported.
Iran has traditionally been a very important export destination for New Zealand’s sheep meat and dairy products such as butter.
