Chapman Taylor, a company of British architects, master planners and interior designers, has struck a number of deals in Iran to work on massive shopping center projects.

The practice behind MediaCity UK in Salford has picked up design roles on two giant shopping malls in Iran, British weekly magazine Building Design reported on its website.

The firm has been commissioned to draw up a master plan for a 750,000 square meters retail scheme in Iran’s second biggest city, Mashhad, in the northeast of the country.

The Jahan Mall project consists of a 420,000 square meters shopping mall, hotel, offices and luxury flats, as well as 330,000 square meters car parking and support facilities.

Furthermore, it has been appointed as an interior designer on the huge Iran Mall project in the capital Tehran. At 1.2 million square meters of floor space covering 33 hectares, the mall will be Tehran’s largest once complete. It will include 400,000 square meters of retail space as well as cultural, hotel and sports facilities.
